Alright, now that you have your new home, you're faced with the challenge of furnishing it. Most people are gonna head down to the big box retail stores, where they are gonna sell you a set of furniture. Fight the urge to buy that. You wanna interject your own personality and your own style. Maybe do that, by mismatching the end tables. Also these days, most floor plans are open, which are great for entertaining, but how are we gonna differentiate those spaces? We do that through scale and proportion of our furniture. Don't overfill your room with five big pieces of furniture that now spill over into the dining room. We're gonna arrange our seating group, just like I've done behind me in the picture, in an intimate way, so it's a separate space from the dining room.
Another way to keep your space consistent, is take your favorite color and thread it throughout the space, in the same way we've done behind us. We have eggplant that is in the living space, as well as in the dining. Also, it's not as hard as it seems, but if you are ever in question, you can call a professional. .
