Aiva is the ancestor of marmalade!

Who likes quince in raw form, ie only from the tree? And how much are you ready to eat? Really another problem, jam or peanut butter, and maybe even the jam!

According to some archaeologists, the first marmalade in the world was probably made in the 1 st century BC. and maybe it's made of quince. This fountain of delicacy is called the Greeks and the people who live in the modern Georgian region.

Why does this version seem reasonable? Because quince is almost the richest in pectin (gelling component), which, with any heat treatment, does not lose its extraordinary aroma. In addition, in Georgia, so-so, fruit buns from boiled fruit are still common. As for the appearance, then this is very possible! It is known that in the first century AD, quince as a product, gained popularity not only in Asia Minor, but throughout the Mediterranean.

And lastly, why, perhaps, quince be the ancestor of marmalade? In many European languages, the quince name, roughly, sounds like jam!
