Excel in Knowledge!

The world is full of interesting paradoxes. There are so many fascinating dichotomies and lessons to be learned in just about every direction in which you look.

I've recently become fascinated with the history of Alexander the Great. I'm even reading a book that's about his throne, especially the events that followed his death and the dispersion of his empire.

The book is called Ghost on the Throne, for those who are curious.

But anyways, what I love about the stories about Alexander the Great is that he was a very wise man.

He has so much wisdom and he is such a critical thinker that it is amazing to me that more people are fascinated by the story. (Although, there are many out there who are!!!)

Alexander understood the value of knowledge and the power of the mind.

There are many similar quotes by him that also discuss the power of the mind versus the power of the physical.

And being the king of such an incredible empire and militaristic force, it becomes even more fascinating that he had such a fascination with knowledge and the mind!
