This is a confidence booster!

So this happened just a few hours ago.

For those who had any doubts after what went down earlier this week with Ned announcing that 70% of the Steemit, Inc. team was being cut.

It was a shocking wake up call to me.

I honestly was not expecting this. I wasn't expecting it at all.

It kind of freaked me out for a few days. I didn't really know what to make of it.

To me, Steem's success as a blockchain was kind of a forgone conclusion... I thought we were coasting our way to the moon as individual dev teams were off in their corners creating their DApps that would find their way into our everyday life.

Boy was I wrong.

There's apparently a lot that I don't know about the blockchain. A whole layer peels back on this onion and reveals a fresh layer of complexity that isn't obvious, even to someone who's been watching this place for a while.

And so, I'm quite curious to see how this all develops. I've seen some interesting posts that I will break down in the posts that follow this one.
