Australias amazing Flora / Australiens erstaunliche Pflanzenwelt
We´re currently Housesitting in Cronulla, south of the Sydney CBD. As we´re still struggling to find a car we decided to fly to the Gold coast where our next Housesit takes place.
Means I got more time to explore the region a little...
Today I went on a little walk around the neighborhood and took some shots of the Australian Flora.
Momentan haben wir einen Housesit in Cronulla, südlich des Sydney Citycenters. Da wir immer noch Probleme haben ein Auto zu finden, haben wir uns entschlossen, zur Goldküste zu fliegen, wo unser nächstes Housesit stattfindet.
Also habe ich mehr Zeit, um die Region ein wenig zu erkunden ...
Heute bin ich ein wenig durch die Gegend gelaufen und habe ein paar Aufnahmen von der australischen Pflanzenwelt gemacht.
There are about 24.000 different species of native plants in Australia. These are the ones I´ve discovered on a short walk through a small suburb of Sydney in New South Wales.
Es gibt ungefähr 24.000 verschiedene Arten einheimischer Pflanzen in Australien. Diese habe ich auf einem kurzen Spaziergang durch einen kleinen Vorort von Sydney in New South Wales entdeckt.
It is still spring here in Australia and everything blooms. The smell changes every few meters and sometimes is pretty intense. I don´t know much about all the different species but still it fascinates me.
Es ist immer noch Frühling in Australien und alles blüht. Der Geruch wechselt alle paar Meter und ist manchmal ziemlich intensiv. Ich weiß nicht viel über die verschiedenen Arten, aber trotzdem faszinieren Sie mich.

It also is quite easy to spot the native birds here, if you know what they prefer to eat. Or you just go after the noise they make. Pretty easy if you want to spot a Cockatoo. 😁
Es ist auch ziemlich einfach die einheimischen Vögel hier zu finden, wenn man weiß was sie bevorzugt essen. Oder man geht einfach dem Geräusch nach welches sie machen. Ziemlich einfach, man einen Kakadu sehen möchten. 😁

Toll alles in solch einer bunten Blütenpracht zu sehen. Würde auch gerne mal zu dieser schönen Zeit dort sein. Wie lange bleibt ihr in Australien wenn ihr auf der Suche nach einem Auto seit?
Ja es ist gerade echt schön hier. Erst einmal 3 Monate, gehen dann zwischendurch nach Bali und kommen aber wieder. Wie lange wir das so machen weiß ich noch nicht. Hoffentlich lange 😉
Oh sehr schön das ihr so lange Zeit dafür habt! Da kann man alles in Ruhe genießen! Da bekommt ihr auch den Sommer voll mit.
Wow, das sind Blumen - da kann sich meine Nachbarin mit ihren Geranien am Balkon brausen gehen :)))

Thank you for this lovely post. I have friends in Australia but have never been there. We watch it vicariously through Australian cinema or TV shows.
Some of the Flora and fauna you show can be seen in Greece, where I lived for many years. I especially love Bourganvilleia, which is the big red bush in your pictures. We just finished watching a fascinating crime series based in Australia's outback with a wonderful actor Aaron Pedersen. For a change it had Aboriginal actors in it as well. Enjoy the rest of your house sitting and keep posting!
