Fotografieren bedeutet für mich die volle Kontrolle über mein Bild zu haben. Fotografieren ist für mich weit mehr als nur mit meiner Kamera in der Natur auf den Zufall zu vertrauen. Ich plane meine Aufnahmen manchmal schon Monate vorher. Das soll nicht bedeuten, dass mir jedes Bild gelingt. Ganz im Gegenteil, ich habe gewisse Vorstellungen an meine Bilder. Da hat das Wetter einen nicht unerheblichen Einfluss darauf, ob ein Bild so gelingt wie ich es mir vorstelle. Zur richtigen Zeit an der perfekten Stelle zu sein und das gewisse Feeling für eine Bild zu besitzen, ist unabdingbar. Selbst wenn alle Faktoren passen, aber ich nicht in der richtigen Stimmung bin, unausgewogen, abgelenkt durch negative Gedanken wird man es meinen Bildern ansehen. Der Funke springt nicht über. Es liegt an mir und nicht an irgend etwas anderem. Ein Grund mehr, mit mir selber im reinen zu sein und in Einklang mit mir und der Natur zu stehen.

Photography means to me to have full control over my picture. For me, photography is much more than just trusting chance with my camera in nature. Sometimes I plan my shots months in advance. This is not to say that I succeed in taking every picture. On the contrary, I have certain ideas about my pictures. The weather has a not inconsiderable influence on whether a picture is as successful as I imagine it to be. To be in the perfect place at the right time and to have that certain feeling for a picture is indispensable. Even if all factors fit, but I am not in the right mood, unbalanced, distracted by negative thoughts one will look at it in my pictures. The spark does not jump over. It's me and not something else. One more reason to be pure with myself and to be in harmony with myself and nature.
