Während sich die Jux zielstrebig der Fertigstellung des intergalaktischen Teppich nähert, steigt in ihm wieder diese Ungeduld empor. Er denkt an sein Ziel den Stern Beteigeuze, den er als erstes ansteuern will. Ähnlich seinem ersten Mondflug weiß er nicht, was ihn erwartet. Daher möchte er nach diesem entfernten Ziel wieder nach Hause zurückkommen, um sich dann auf den Weg zu den Marsmönchen zu machen.
Erst nach seiner Rückkehr von Beteigeuze will er sich von seinen Freunden und Bekannten verabschieden. Noch soll niemand erfahren, dass er die Atmosphäre seines Planeten verlassen kann.
Der intergalaktische Teppich ist fast fertig, da klopft sein Schulkamerad an die Tür.
As the Jux approaching the completion of the intergalactic carpet, his impatience rises again. He thinks of his destination, the star Beteigeuze, which he wants to head for first. Similar to his first moon flight, he doesn't know what to expect. Therefore he wants to come back home after this distant destination and then make his way to the Mars Monks.
Only after his return from Beteigeuze he wants to say goodbye to his friends and acquaintances. Still nobody should learn that he can leave the atmosphere of his planet.
The intergalactic carpet is almost finished, his schoolmate knocks on the door.

Sein Schulfreund war schon damals neugierig und bewunderte Jux für sein Talent und seinen Erfindergeist. Auch heute war es nicht anders. Erst war er voller Lob über das schöne Muster des Teppichs, um dann die Frage nachzuschieben, ob dies ein besonderer Teppich sei.
Jux dachte bei sich. Stimmt, das Muster des intergalaktischen Teppich war wirklich etwas besonderes, ähnlich wie das Muster der fliegenden Tischdecke. Nur beim Mondteppich hatte er seine Mühe nicht auf die Optik, sondern auf die Funktionalität gelegt. Dieses Mal schien sein neuster Teppich wieder perfekt zu sein.
Jux wiegelte seinem ehemaligen Schulfreund gegenüber ab und lenkte das Gespräch auf die fliegende Tischdecke. Glücklicherweise erzählte sein Schulfreund von seinen Abenteuern mit der fliegenden Tischdecke, was er probiert hatte und was die fliegende Tischdecke daraufhin anstellte.
So erzählte er, dass er vor kalten Doppelvollmondnächten einfach Eiswürfel in den Trockner legte. Die fliegende Tischdecke begab sich daraufhin die ganze Nacht in die Waschmaschine und aktivierte das wärmste Programm wiederholt bis zum Morgen. Problem war, dass sie das Programm nicht abbrechen konnte, sondern die Hausbewohner mit dem Essen warten mussten, bis die Tischdecke wieder aus der Waschmaschine konnte.
Ein anderes Mal stellte er brennende Kerzen in die Öffnung des Trockners. Hier verzog sich die fliegende Tischdecke in den Geschirrspüler. Der war nachts zwar nicht so laut wie die Waschmaschine, aber abgewöhnt hat er der Tischdecke diese Unsitte damit noch nicht.

His school friend was already curious and admired Jux for his talent and inventive spirit. Even today it was no different. At first he was full of praise for the beautiful pattern of the carpet, only to ask whether it was a special carpet.
Jux thought to himself. True, the pattern of the intergalactic carpet was really something special, similar to the pattern of the flying tablecloth. Only with the moon carpet he had put his effort not on the optics, but on the functionality. This time his latest carpet seemed to be perfect again.
Jux waved his mind off his former school friend. Jux distracted the conversation on the flying tablecloth. Fortunately, his school friend told him about his adventures with the flying tablecloth, what he had tried and what the flying tablecloth did.
He said that he simply put ice cubes in the dryer before cold double full moon nights. The flying tablecloth went into the washing machine all night and activated the warmest program repeatedly until morning. The problem was that it could not stop the program. But that the residents of the house had to wait with the food until the tablecloth could get off the washing machine.
Another time he placed burning candles in the opening of the dryer. In this case the flying tablecloth was pulled into the dishwasher. It wasn't as loud as the washing machine at night, but it hasn't made the tablecloth forget this bad habit yet.
