How much does a scooter cost per day in Asia? - Was kostet ein Roller pro Tag in Asien?

Have you been to the internet before your holiday and were desperately looking for the prices for the scooters? Each country has different prices, as well as the places within the countries are very variable from the prices for renting a scooter.

Here we would like to show you a list of the prices we have paid in the last 1.5 years within Asia. I wish I had had such a list before our trip.....

Bali - 1 month for approx. 50 €
Thailand - 1 month for approx. 150
India - 1 month for approx. 80 €
Cambodia - 1 month for approx. 120€
Sri Lanka - 1 month for approx. 70

As you can see, the prices per country vary a lot. The cheapest was really Bali, where it would have cost only 50€. However, at that time we decided on a car and that cost for the whole month only 150€.

The longer you rent the scooter, the cheaper it gets. One day is very expensive and can cost 12€ in Cambodia, for example. Try to get a scooter outside the tourist areas. Also pay attention to the condition of the scooter and the lights and brakes are important. Drive a few meters and pull the brake really hard to see that it will really work in an emergency.

If you rent the scooter for a long time, the landlord will also inform you that you should bring it to the checkpoint after a few days. Then the oil is changed and everything checked again. It's always been like this with us. You see that people take care of the scooters and you drive something that you can really rely on.

Take pictures of every scooter before the first ride, so you can prove if something is supposedly broken. Better be safe than sorry. We've never been hit like this before, but you can never be too careful. Better take a few pictures and then later also prove that a possible damage or scratches was already in front of you at the vehicle.

Warst du schon mal vor deinem Urlaub und hast im Internet verzweifelt nach den Preisen für die Roller gesucht? Jedes Land hat andere Preise, ebenso die Orte innerhalb der Länder sind sehr schwankend von den Preisen für das leihen eines Rollers.

Hier möchten wir dir eine Liste aufzeigen, welche Preise wir in den letzten 1,5 Jahren innerhalb von Asien gezahlt hatten. Ich wünschte, ich hätte so eine Liste schon damals vor unserer Reise gehabt....

Wie ihr seht, schwanken die Preise pro Land sehr. Das billigste war wirklich Bali, wo es nur 50€ gekostet hätte. Allerdings haben wir uns damals für ein Auto entscheiden und das kostete für den ganzen Monat nur 150€.

Je länger ihr die Roller anmietet, desto günstiger wird es. Ein Tag ist sehr teuer und kann in Kambodscha zum Beispiel 12€ kosten. Versucht euch einen Roller außerhalb der Touristengebiete zu holen. Achtet ebenso immer auf den Zustand des Rollers und wichtig sind die Lichter und Bremsen. Fahrt ein paar Meter und zieht die Bremse richtig fest um zu sehen, dass diese auch wirklich im Notfall gehen wird.

Bei einer Langzeitmiete wird euch der Vermieter auch darauf hinweisen, dass ihr den Roller nach ein paar Tagen zum check bringen sollt. Dann wird das Öl gewechselt und alles nochmals durchgecheckt. Bei uns war es eigentlich immer so. Man sieht, dass die Leute sich um die Roller kümmern und man etwas fährt, was wo man auch wirklich darauf sich verlassen kann.

Macht auf jeden Fotos von dem Roller, noch vor der ersten Fahrt, so dass ihr beweisen könnt wenn etwas angeblich kaputt sei. Sicher ist sicher. Uns hat so etwas noch nie getroffen, aber man kann nie vorsichtig genug sein. Besser ein paar Bilder machen und dann später auch beweisen können dass ein möglicher Schaden oder Kratzer schon vor euch am Fahrzeug war.
