Die wilde Angst vor der 13
Aus meiner Jugendzeit kenne ich noch „Die wilde 13“, die einst von Augsburger Puppenkiste in den 1970er Jahren erneut und dieses Mal in Farbe inszeniert wurde.
Handpuppen und Puppenkisten sind out. Heute sind iPad und Videospiele angesagt.
Hintergrund der Kinderbücher ist der Aberglaube, dass die Zahl 13 Unglück bringe.
"Zimmer 13" war nicht nur ein bekannter deutsch-französischer Kriminalfilm, sondern auch 18. der deutschsprachige Edgar-Wallace-Film der Nachkriegszeit. Zahlreiche weitere Geschichten tragen ebenfalls diesen Titel.
Wo gibt es überall keine 13?
Flugzeuge haben oft keine 13. Reihe. Bei der Lufthansa sucht man neben der Reihe 13 auch die Reihe 17 vergebens. Italiener und Brasilianer sollen hierin ebenfalls Unglück sehen. Die Fluggesellschaft Condor, die von der Lufthansa zu Thomas Cook den Besitzer wechselte, hat inzwischen wieder Reihen mit der Nummer 13.
Hochhäuser, besonders in Nordamerika werden ohne 13. Stockwerk gebaut. (Oder der Aufzug hält hier aus Prinzip nicht. Wer weiß?)
Bei internationalen Hotels ist dies ebenfalls oft der Fall. Häufig geht man sogar noch einen Schritt weiter und nummeriert kein Zimmer mit einer 13.
13-Euro-Scheine gibt es übrigens auch nicht ;-) Aber ich glaube, das hat andere Ursachen.
Triskaidekaphobie
Mit Triskaidekaphobie wird die abergläubische Angst vor der Zahl Dreizehn bezeichnet.
Triskaidekaphobie stammt aus dem Griechischen (τρεισκαίδεκα, translit. treiskaídeka, zu deutsch ‚dreizehn' und griechisch φόβος, translit. fóbos, zu deutsch ‚Furcht').
Und da Steemit eine begrenzte Menge an Buchstaben zulässt, stand ich vor der Wahl, entweder den letzten Buchstaben wegzulassen oder Phobie mit F zu schreiben, d.h. Triskaidekafobie. Naja, das Ergebnis sieht der aufmerksame Leser ...
Doch wo kommt der Aberglaube mit der 13 her?
