Great Songs with famous bass lines / gute Lieder mit bekannten Basslines
It's not always easy being a bass player. Their role is often underestimated and everyone focuses on the guitar player.
So I thought I'd start a series by introducing you to some great songs that have a good and famous bass line or bass solo.
This series starts with Metallica's song For Whom The Bell Tolls from 1984.
Es ist nicht immer einfach Bassist zu sein. Deren Rolle wird häufig unterschätzt und alle fokussieren sich auf den Gitarristen.
Daher habe ich mir gedacht, ich starte eine Reihe in dem ich euch ein paar gute Songs vorstelle, die eine gute und bekannte Bassline oder Bass-Solo haben.
Den Beginn dieser Serie macht das Lied For Whom The Bell Tolls von Metallica aus dem Jahr 1984.
Metallica habe ich schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gehört. Danke dass du mich dran erinnerst wie toll die Band ist. Zumindest das ältere Zeugs vor St.Anger.

This is one of the first songs that i learned to play. I had band, few years ago. We played symphonic version of this song, i was playing keyboards. :)
Bass is killing on this song! And solo of Cliff Burton before song is amazing.

Das Falco ein Multitalent war und dass er auch etwas mit Funk machte wusste ich, aber das mit Bass war mir neu. Danke für den Hinweis.

My German writing isn't that good , so I reply in english :) But indeed, a great bassline and a great band.. Robert Trujillo is massive, but Cliff Burton as well as Jason Newsted were great.... And what a great idea to put famous basslines more in the spotlight... Although you often can't see us..... The bass is the base... ;)
