The Unguarded Heart

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephesians 6:10)

Do not let your armor slip, not for one moment. Satan lurks nearby, always waiting, always watching to find an unguarded heart, an unprotected mind. He can rush in without warning, bringing all his fears and doubts with him. Keep your armor firmly in place, My shield about you at all times.

Do not let yourself be lulled into complacency—it takes work and perseverance to keep the armor of the Spirit in place. But is it not worth it all? When you begin to venture out beyond My shield of protection, can you not feel the seeds of depression and fear and unrest seeking to find fallow ground within you?
