Donations are required for a girl with diabetes

The story of 11-year-old Itai Ross is no longer the story of a daughter of divorced parents, nor is there another story of a daughter of parents who divorced really ugly. Is a story that if I had not been in it personally and intensively in recent years, I would probably associate it with the science fiction genre. And today, on the last stretch of the struggle, it needs your help .

Itay appeared on the blog for the first time three years ago and a little. By sharing a friend of a friend's friend, I was exposed to an 8.5-year-old girl who has been completely cut off for a year from her father and her two brothers, who were big enough to choose which of the parents they want to live with. You will not say "in the custody of the mother with arrangements for seeing a father" - an absolute separation.

The only thing that was more hallucinatory than that was the situation, is the official explanation of the system for this to be the case. Are you sitting? The reason she was cut off from her father and her brothers was that ... she said she did not want to go to her mother, she wanted to go only to her father, and if they made her go to her mother she would run away . In order to prevent a 7.5-year-old from running away from her mother to her father, they completely cut her off from her father. How did they do that? No, not through a court order. Welfare simply instructed the mother to enter a shelter for battered women with the girl, and from there she could not escape. Yes yes, you read right, shelter for battered women . What is the connection between a mother whose children run away from her and a shelter for battered women? Is it true that only women whose husbands / divorcees beat them or threaten them with violence or at least women who claim that this is what is happening should come to such shelters ? Definately not. These shelters are used as "Receivers custody ", for all intents and purposes. There imprisoned with me, and learned to cry and scream and kick until exhaustion did not help her, then there is no escape.

Ten months later, while living in another city, she managed to escape from her mother for the first time with me. The day of welfare lifted the police to their feet, and the father was forced to bring her to the police station, crying bitterly , and after being taken to the interrogation room, she grabbed her brother and refused to leave them. Even when they tried to convince her that it would be all right, and that Father would continue to fight for her, she told them in tears that they did not know what it was like to be alone with the mother, and she knew how it was and was not ready . The policemen, who were forced to separate the children by force, were shocked by the incident and were unable to understand why and why the separation between the brothers. This scene repeated itself several times, until Itai was old enough to reach an age when she was no longer forced. All is well that ends well? Well, not accurate. Not only will the lost years not return, they also cost her health.

The first time I visited the father and the boys at home then, and he looked like a Holocaust survivor and talked about his daughter as if he were a bereaved father, I told him she would come back and live with them, and it was only a matter of time. He replied that it was clear to him, but the question of what damage. We thought mainly about the mental damage caused to the girl who is cut off from her father and her brothers whom she misses without enough, for the health damage we did not think, although in retrospect - there is no surprise here.

I met with me and I met with him by accident that day. That is to say, the meeting with Itai was going on, Zvika - her father - wanted me to be the first to meet her as soon as he was allowed to take her without supervision, but I was abroad, so it was postponed for a few months. She told him that she was meeting her son today and that she did not agree that he would go to high school in a scientific class (do not worry, no one asked her permission ...), and that her daughter who built "such huge walls" With her hands) and "only communicates with her father." She said correctly (and that does not happen to her very much), even though Itai only lived with her and her father saw so little then - she still communicated only Character and not at all with her. She also learned she must be well restrained and understated with other adults, and tell them what was bothering her, because it will only aggravate the situation.

And then, that afternoon, I met Itai with Zvika and her older brother Ofri, in G in Kfar Sava. As an animal operator, Itai reminded me of the dogs that are in the cage for a long time and then are released, and how they run away from there, back and forth, and in circles, and when we were outside I was afraid that she would run to the road, but Zvika said it was all right and that she knew. She told me that she told her caregiver - Etti Avinoam - that she wanted to be more with her father than her mother, but they did not listen to her - on the contrary, they said that now they were delaying the expansion of the arrangements because they made her more rebellious towards her mother.

On one occasion when she had run away from the mother again, she had been violated by the celebrated Avniam, who had violated her duty to the patient. She took out a letter from which it was clear that even for her, with me-her patient-was nothing more than an asset, a property belonging to the mother, and everything must be done in order not to steal. She wrote that in the year she treats Itai, she saw how she learns to respect her mother's authority (in short, how she practices being in prison). She wrote that the relationship between me and her father and her brothers had recently been renewed, and that it was connected with a lot of love - a word she did not use at all to hint at Itai's relationship with her mother. But then the poetess said that " this love does not nourish her soft soul ," because it causes her to refuse to accept that she lives with the mother - where there is no love - and confrontations with her.

All this, pushing Itay straight into the arms of the disease .

Diabetes broke out last July after psychosomatic symptoms of nausea after quarrels with the mother. Zvika said that now we had to get her out of there at all costs. I told him that now in light of her age together with the medical condition, they would no longer be taken by force. After her mother's stay with me, she kept coming to extremes, along with an attempt by the mother to increase the dose of injection that she recognized, no longer had any questions. This time no one stopped me from voting with her legs and she went back to live safely with her father and brother.

But the family judge refuses to transfer custody, claiming he has already finished with this case and will leave him alone. This means that not only is there no payment for child support from the mother who earns well (according to the court, she currently earns a net wage of NIS 15K and NIS 2,000 gross), but also the disability allowance that Itai is supposed to use for the father's medicines . Before the divorce proceedings, Zvika could still support his children from his business (even if modestly and not to the standard of living they were accustomed to until then), and today the family receives food donations from the catering. The amount of food from the mother (not like a man pays, but also something). In the final stretch, the family will return to its normal course. In the meantime, they are very much need help.

If you have come this far, I hope you will open your heart. This is my donation campaign (you should enter the link, it has a video of mine talking and you can see how much I have since since the picture on the blog ...). It is important to emphasize that this is a "flexible" campaign and not as a "startart" - that is, in any case we accept what is donated whether or not we reach the target amount. If you prefer not to contribute through the credit project, you can make a bank transfer directly to my account number 10-921-6873531 (Bank Leumi, Branch 921, account 68735/31) and note that this is a donation for a diabetic child. The funds will be held in my trust, so that they can be used for the purposes they have enlisted and will not be curtailed by hostile elements (even if they have a genetic connection ...).

Even if you can not afford it, you can help. Maybe the hand of a Facebook friend's friend is yes. All you have to do is share your campaign on social networks (or this post) with the caption "Donations are required for a diabetic girl" (or some other caption, but preferably with caption). If you donated and you are willing to disclose this, the above with the addition of "I have contributed" or something in style - will help tremendously.

Anyone who understands a thing or two about raising money understands that this is not a simple project. It is much easier to recruit when there is a concrete goal - such as the amount of money to produce a film, etc. Unfortunately, there is no amount of money that I can set as a cure for diabetes. Juvenile diabetes is for life. This is an endless film, and in any case there will be no production at the end of the campaign. Only one girl with diabetes (and her two brothers, her father, and me) would be grateful. Hope this is worth something, too.
