RE: Paulo Italian Pizzeria - Koh Phayam: Profound place for an island

in #dining5 years ago

I was saying in my other comment a few minutes ago that I love wooden furniture and I am wondering what humidity does to it and here it is your second post with plastic furniture.
I hate plastic furniture, it gives you the feeling you're not respected because the owners care more about the profit than about your needs but there might be a good reason for that. At a place like that it migh be way easier to clean plastic than wood. However, I would still prefer wood.

Anyway, for some delicious, original Italian food I would look past of this :) Good food always comes first!

Sort:

there are certain types of very heavy wood, normally teak that the insects and humidity don't stand a chance against. The downside is that they are extremely heavy.

Almost all typical western woods get annihilated over here though. Plastic furniture sucks, this is true, but in an environment like Thailand, it is hard to argue with the virtue of it from a cost perspective.

I agree, that's why we have to look past of plastic furniture.
