The United Nations Environment released a report on plastic pollution (" Single-Use Plastics : A roax for Sustainability ") on June 5 environmental day. The report comprehensively evaluated various global governments ` actions to address and respond to plastic pollution as of 2018.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.N. Environment Planning Secretary Eric Solheim attended the World Environment Day event in New Delhi, India.
The report, produced by the United Nations in cooperation with the Indian government, environmental, forestry and climate change ministries, presents a global outlook for plastic pollution based on case studies from more than 60 countries worldwide.
