Yup, Donald Trump long ago learned to exploit negative press for his advantage. He likes to prove there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Historically politicians have lied to avoid negative press and negative attention and then they press eviscerates them with lots of negative press, Donald Trump lies to create negative press and to get attention the press attempts to eviscerate him but only gives him more free publicity. Trump and Kanye know how to use the press against itself and for their own ends.

a VERY successful one...for years and years.
think of it as 'scoping out the enemy'.

As a real estate developer he once destroyed a piece of artwork renovating a building and got a load bad press and then he sold out the building as soon as it was completed. That's when he learned the value of bad publicity.
