Lower Pond Summer Update : Decking Repairs

I'm finally getting around to the second stage of repairs to the lower pond decking. The old sub frame had rotted and so had most of the decking planks. So out with the old and in with the new. All sizes worked out and pieces cut to lengths. I've decided to make the boarder twelve inches bigger so less decking and more room for planting.

Frames made and set into position bolted together and levelled. I also treated the frames with 3 coats of wood preserve.

All the decking boards treated underneath and edges and set into position using decking screws and 5mm spacers

A full decking paint job and ready to go for another 10 years hopefully. Just need to top the pond up and jobs a good'n
