Made part 1 of my new Laser cutter bed

So for my laser cutter bed, I am going to be making a knife style bed using 3mm thick aluminium flat bar.

The bed size is going to be 900mm x 600mm

In order to mount the knives, I have cut, using my table saw and the cross cut sled, some 20mm slots into two 6mm thick 25mm aluminium flat bar

Here I am testing to see if the 3mm thick flat bar fits into the slots.. Looks like a perfect fit

Checking that the depth is 20mm

A good start!
