That's pretty interesting. Normally I try to keep the grass out of my grow beds because it takes over, but with a perennial like blueberries, that probably isn't a problem anyway.
I feel like there is a balance that must be maintained with not too much grass. My blueberries have natives grasses growing tightly around them and they have not produced well. I have a hard time keeping the grass from choking it off, but if I could keep it from doing that it might be a benefit. I think it would come down to the type of grasses since some spread like wildfire.
