I am not totally sure about the culture of Thailand, but for me, it sounds a bit shocking. Even the daughter, herself, was shocked. He has other children. The wealth should be going to them. Besides, I don't think he has to do it because her daughter is beautiful. Oh well, that's his money. But it could have been better if she's going to marry someone she really loves.
