Sources: Gordon holdout may extend to late Nov.
The NFL offseason is now over. The first NFL Sunday is here.
Much of the offseason drama centered around two players. Ezekial Elliott staged a very public holdout that included barbs on both sides. He got his extension so all is well in Dallas on that front.
Antonio Brown was a nightmare for the Oakland Raiders. He was released on Saturday, opting to sign with the New England Patriots. All is quiet on that front now.
The top "noisemaker" is now Melvin Gordon who is holding out with the Chargers. Like Elliott, he feels he should be one of the highest paid running backs in the NFL.
According to reports, this holdout could extend into late November. In other words, do not expect a quick resolution on this one.
