Tiger withdraws from Northern Trust with injury

Tiger Woods' time at the Northern Trust gold tournament did not last long.

On Thursday he slashed his way around the course to a 75. This led to him being out of sorts in terms of making the cut.

None of that will matter as Woods withdrew from the tournament due to injury.

The past few years saw Woods mired with the injury bug including a number of back surgeries.
