Hundred thousands of people died during those era, there was no cure to this illness.. In the Stephansdom, underneath the catacombs, there were thousands of skulls which were stored beneath the cathedral´s catacombs...Scary somehow.
Yes. Those were really scary. During our childhood, although the plague wasn't endemic in our area, we used to be afraid of rats too much thinking that we might get the disease from the rats.
It's annoying that some plagues or diseases was caused by the government.
