RE: Romelu Lukaku transfer from Manchester United to Inter: Talks underway between the two clubs | Goal.com - Wasn't Lukaku Fit For Man U?

in #dlike5 years ago

Lukaku is an old fashioned centre-forward. He wants to sit on the shoulder of a central defender and have the ball played in early for him. If United don't plan to play to his strengths (and they haven't really since he arrived) then they are better off selling him. No use trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.

Lukaku is not good enough for a side that wants to challenge for a Champions League spot and/or the title. Look at his record for WBA and Everton, he scored plenty of goals against lesser opposition and very few against the top teams.

You mention Ferguson, he would never of signed Lukaku ......

hahaha understood. I know he isnt that top class but i am just talking off of the last season's Man u, i doubt he isn't than any of those players. True about Ferguson to an extent. but i still think the identity of Man u is that old school. They arent too much of the Arsenal football. They have skill but can also be direct. Don't mind me, i am looking at Man u with those old school eyes. Till date though i dont see man u as a team that can go all new school with small players and all skill. Something similar is happening with chelsea too. left to me, on the current man u team, he will not be on the bench. I will use him on there till he gels in. because the other front players on there are still very much in growth.
