Neil Woodford suffered a new blow on Wednesday when one of his most successful investments, litigation funder Burford Capital, came under attack from short seller Muddy Waters, which accused the company of “egregiously misrepresenting” its returns. Burford Capital was a top 10 holding in Mr Woodford’s now-suspended equity income fund
