RE: Parkour Trip to barquisimeto part 2 [POV in Ascardio]

in #dlive6 years ago

This is actually hugely entertaining..and slightly scary at the same time! What an amazing building, it's kind of creepy in places looking more like a Mental Asylum then a hospital - but you guys have incredible balance - landing on the narrowest ledges and some of the drops are dangerous - one slip up and you'd be heading for an actual hospital! Really impressive skills all the way through though, leaping from one narrow strip to another, plenty of jumps and and climbs as well.

While I am thinking about it you should visit @betamusic new post Sing It Contest Week 6 there are some great prizes to be had - be sure to share the post around if you can.

yeahh that is really true!

Something i find good to explain is that when you start to train parkour, everything is progresive, and fear is a big factor too. The first month all the jumps scares you, even the little one because you are scare of the "ledge", miss on the ledge and you could hurt your foot or fall if you are jumping on something high, and that fear doesnt really allow you to try the dangerous jump, so you start with little.

so, the way to loose this fear overtime is trusting on your technique!

i remember one month (30 days) when i did 20 precision jumps (standing jumps) on a top of two ledges, i fall one i repeated it again. eventualy in these 30 days i lossed "the fear of the ledges" and i got trust on my precision thecnique. Repetition is key
