MODULAR ACROSS AMERICA! Ep 11: Golden Hour, Earth
It was a long and glorious tour, but I have safely returned to Earth. What better way to commemorate the occasion than shooting the golden hour from @travelinlight 's front porch, composing on the fly for a suitably celestial engagement. After a quick trip to the beach to recover my senses (and hopefully shoot a few more episodes of Modular Across America!) I'll be retiring this configuration and restoring my modular to full capacity in the studio. Puzzle pieces falling into place.
Today's patch was all about using the three sisters filter to sneak a tiny bit of high frequency melodic chords into the background and subsequently ship a heavily lowpassed version of the same melody to the looping delay on the clouds, brightening it back to the audible spectrum and effectively getting two melodic elements for one. Sunny stereo glitches accompany, and my now-perhaps-becoming-signature baritone Mangrove oscillator sets the stage with a simple longform cinematic underscore. Golden.
