Ulog: An eventful day!
An eventful day.
I all of a sudden am getting 'booked' for work! My job is picking up when it's normally slow! I desperately need work to keep my car and food on the table but my lift certifications to drive 'scissor' lifts and 'boom' lifts just expired so I had to re-certify.😔
The instructor at H & E was really informative and helpful! He was very knowledgeable and his class showed as much! We have to recertify every three years for our lift cards, in order to be in compliance with the Law. Now my next thing I need to do is get a OSHA 30. Having a OSHA 30 certificate means, that you took a 30 hour class for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and you receive a certificate/card available upon course completion!
The best instructor I've had in the 15 years ( 5 times) of having to getting these certifications. A Great instructor H & E has here!

What did I learn from this class? Well, that we are all still doing it all wrong and people are dying and critically getting injured as a result. Yes, of course, budgetary reasons mandates to operate equipment against code from Management and hiring cheaper labor is the main causes, in my honest opinion for the increase in deaths and accidents in Nevada.
It was a 4-hour class. I rushed home right when the class ended and couldn't help but reflect on a comment I made on @shadowspub's post a few days back. It was about no chemtrails in Vegas and how the air has been nice to breathe. Well, sure enough, its been cloudy and dusty the past few days, oddly enough not windy. I could see the air was so nasty we had visibility for only 5 miles. The air is really sucky to breathe currently.
I drove by classic downtown Las Vegas in the Video here. The Plaza casino is still around lol.
Then it was back to caretaking the garden and my boys!
