TRAVEL VLOG #4: Ban Lao & Belgian Beers

Hello Steemian Friends and DLivers,

Again, it's been a while since our last Travel Vlog. Yet, we have good reason as we were on full concentration mode for our Sndbox Final Quest to enter their Summer Camp.

In the last video, we ventured down to the Presidential Palace and walked around that part of Vientiane. In this video, we'll show you our first night in Vientiane. This is part four.

Highlights of the video:

We looked endless for a restaurant Sam's sister recommended, but it has closed down since her visit. We kept on walking around until we found this place called 'Ban Lao' (Lao House) on a quiet street. It was more or less someone's house that the owners opened up for the general public to come and have a meal in their garden. It felt local and traditional. We ordered three dishes, which we show you in the video.

After our dinner, we made our way to a Belgian bar we spotted during the day. However, although we were there on a Thursday night, so there was a deal (Buy 1, Get 1 Free), it was still quite expensive for Laos and our standards. Lesson learnt not to treat yourself on the first night as you'll find ourselves budgeting big time for the rest of the trip! Hope you enjoy the short video!
