Well, I don't see this happening in the near future also. The regulation's idea is to reduce cryptos to other fiat currencies that r controlled by central banks. Crypto by nature being decentralised makes it difficult for banks to agree on fully regulating it . Banks can partially regulate by affiliating with the exchanges .This is what i have understood . lets Hope things will get better. NICE MEME ON THIS TOPIC. VERY WELL THOUGHT !

I think it will never happen, because crypto by it's nature is regulated at some level, you can track almost all transactions. This news are only to scare people off so institutions and governments can buy more at lower prices (to get a second chance). This way they will gain power in this space and there's no need for regulation as the power will be the regulation itself. Price manipulation and other decision making will belong to the governments at some point, if people don't wake up. And yes banks can regulate at some point, like not accepting transactions from crypto if some requirements aren't made and also affiliate with exchanges like you said. But there will be a lot of decentralized exchanges this year, so let's see how that will play out.
