Dogs Need Mouth Care, Too!

in #dog6 years ago

Even a dog without brushing his teeth can cause problems such as bad breath, mouth disease, plaque, and cavities. If the gums or teeth are not healthy, it can not eat properly, and the bacteria in the mouth can travel through the blood vessels, thus affecting joints, liver, and kidneys.
You don't have to do it three times a day like a human being, but if it isn't possible, you should give oral care such as brushing your teeth once a day or twice a day.

Brushing my teeth.
Rather than brushing your teeth for the first time, it is more important to be familiar with the way you touch your teeth. For a while, the dog's mouth is continually opened to touch and praise the teeth, leading to feel like a game.

Regular inspection and scaling.
I recommend you take me to the animal hospital once a year for a checkup and to do scaling. Even if your pet has been doing well, it is better to check its condition through regular checkup. If the condition is serious enough to prevent the tooth from falling out or the inside of your mouth from eating, you should also check for other problems with tests such as X-rays.
