Feeding dogs - a religion?

Some years ago you bought dog food in a simple store, filled their ports, provided fresh and clear water and that was it. But more and more it became more difficult and if you meet another dog owner in this days, the first question is...how do you feed your dogs. And if you answere now...a whole discussion gets started.

Barf is that word and the barf community grew so big and is more fanatic than vegans could be...oh and here also grew the community of people who feed their dogs vegan.May sound weird, but a friend of mine cookes maybe the best dogfood every day for her chihuahuas. I checked her ingredients and have to say...wow...I was supposed to find a lack of vitamines and minerals, but no absolutely no. Thats when people really thinks about feeding the best.

For me my dogs get a proper meal in the morning. Fresh with meat and veggies, fruits and everything their own personal barf plan should contain. The rerst of the day they get simple dry food...okay maybe not that simple because it is a special dry food we have to order, but ..thats because we have some very sensitive dogs and this food fits the needs of all of them.

For the street dogs, we feed them twice a week around our quarter, we cook rice and meat in big loads, and put it out to their special places. Here they can help themselves - and I think with that food I can also see an improvement in their condition. But no matter with whom I talk, everyone wants to convince you into their won method of dog feeding...sometimes very pushy and angry..but I think any dog food is okay as long as the pups are healthy, developing well and love to eat it.
