What really happened to Romashka: we know it now

In life, there are different situations. Therefore, we try to find out the life history of our animals, if possible. Today, our friend was talking to a local policeman. He said that he knows about Romashka (Chamomile in English). Her mistress is dead. The heir, the son of the mistress, did not want to take care of the dog. Because of his fault, she is today in such a terrible state. He refused to treat her and threw her out into the street. So Romashka became a stray dog.

So, we understand that no one will look for her or take care of her. Now it is our care and our dog. In this story, that's what horrifies me. No, this is not the mistress's son, who drove the dog out into the street. Such people exist and this cannot be changed. But I am terrified by the indifference of others. The situation with the dog was known to the neighbors, the situation with the dog was known even to the police! But no one, no man did anything to help an orphaned dog. I get cold from horror when I think that my friends could leave my home earlier or later than they did, and not meet her.

I sometimes hear a reproach that there are so many abandoned children and old people, and I help animals instead of helping them. But first, there are many volunteers who help other people. Secondly, I do not believe in the welfare of society, where there are abandoned animals. They are the most defenseless. They cannot tell what happened to them, they cannot ask for help, the law protects them less than people. I firmly believe that in a society in which there are no abandoned animals, there are also no abandoned people. These are problems of the same order and they can only be solved together.
