BASKETBALL STRATEGY

Is Donald Trump an educated man? He attended a private school. He graduated from a well-regarded university. Hence, the answer must be "yes." He has achieved remarkable success in his real estate-related business. He was deemed to be attractive enough to marry by two pretty women. He has associated with many people who might be termed "highly successful" or "elite." He has starred in a successful reality type television program. He was not noted in reviews as "illiterate" or "vulgar."

Then came the run for the presidency, in which the ridiculed candidate, Donald Trump, actually defeated the odds-on-favorite, Hillary Clinton. Incidentally, why was he ridiculed? He expressed views consistent with a prudent man's interpretation of an obedience to and defense of the organic law of the nation, The Constitution for the united(sic) States of America. This constitution is also the organizing "first cause" describing the fundamental structure by which the nation would be bound and from which it would proceed. In regard to this, the more fundamental a change to the structure was, the more difficult it was to achieve it. Nevertheless, changing the law by means of amendments was possible and built into the organizing structure.

Also, built into the ratified organic law was the recognition that member States would each have its own jurisdiction over matters not directly assigned to the federal government for management for the collective harmony and good, such as regulations involving interstate commerce.

Needless to say, where money, greed, and power grow like weeds, the farm may be in jeopardy. The constitution's direction to congress to address "needful laws" after several decades witnessed perhaps the first serious bubble. It was not in tulips, or similar commodities; it was in laws themselves, including supreme(sic) Court interpretations and treaties.

By the 1980s 100Ks of rules and regulations were published every year in the Federal Register. Where once a citizen was subject to few federal laws, being mostly subject to state and local laws, by the end of WW2, most citizens had agreed to be subject to federal laws in broad areas, such as social retirement plans, payroll taxes, etc.

By the second decade of the 21st Century, a supreme Court justice had advised interested parties from, I believe, other nations that she advised against the U.S. Constitution as a model for them. Another supreme Court justice had advised in the 1990s, I believe, that the constitutions and laws of foreign nations, such as the Marxist Zimbabwe, might provide precedence upon which U.S. legal decisions might be founded.

We've come a long way since our organic law was written. Now solons vie with giant news media companies, foreign intelligence organizations, NGOs, flooding of the national shores by wretched cohorts, as well as wicked ones, and opaque institutions creating the nation's money, as well as that of other nations, alleged malign macro forces threatening existence, and the sudden decision by the Democrat Party that it doesn't want to be merely American anymore but will have an identity operation so it can be itself -- a Democrat Communist Party. Then it would be ready to "become one" with the CCP of China. Who would dare turn down an invitation to such a marriage?

Given the crude and bumptious milieu which currently exists, I don't think that it should be perceived as odd or out-of-step that President Trump should turn to Twitter to express himself as he wishes, uninterpreted by major media. The fact that the major media consistently criticizes his Tweets suggests the sort of reportage there would be if Mr. President Trump had no voice in print.

Also, the criticisms of President Trump as "not presidential" are a bit effete. Anyone who has witnessed his live news briefs before knows how contentious and rude they can be. It appears to me that in divided America, President Trump has started to follow the example of athletes such as Larry Bird by "talking trash" to the opponents, who are, after all, the opposition, playing for the other team. If you are playing for the All-Stars of the Global Team, expect Donald Trump to "head fake" you, followed by a 3-pointer or a fast break to the basket, and talking trash all the way.
