Blood is something you can easily donate us because our bodies will continue to recharge to replace the amount of blood lost. The average adult has 5 liters of blood that keeps spinning in the body. Blood donation in Indonesia is governed by Government Regulation No. 2/2011 concerning blood donor service set up by the Indonesia Red Cross (PMI) as a social and humanitarian goals. Blood donation under the supervision of PMI is also guaranteed to Act No. 36/2009 of health, that the Government is responsible for the implementation of blood donor services that are safe, accessible, and in accordance with the needs of the community.

##Anyone who could be giving blood?

All persons aged 17-65 years could donate their blood. However, the prospective new donors are said to be worth it if passes the medical examination prior to donate their blood.

Donors must have a weight of not less than 45 pounds and healthy, whether physical or spiritual. In addition, your blood pressure should be at number 100-170 (systolic) and 70-100 (diastolic). Blood hemoglobin levels when the examination should range between 3.5% 12 – 17 g%.
