Do you think it is possible to abuse tags?
This is a question I would like the entire steem blockchain community to get involved in.
Many think if the post is not about the tag it is abuse.
But the problem is that many tags are curation trails.

If we don’t allow a person to use the steemit tag when posting on steemit how can we allow a person to post on busy with the busy tag?
Do you think that the tags of a post must follow exact strict guidelines that the content of a post is relevant to the tag?

The one that bugs me a lot is when folks 'abuse' the #introduceyourself tag. It makes it more difficult to curate and find the actual new folks who need a hello and a hand up.

If there was a consensus about this and the curation trails had to just find post by a tag inside a post then I think it should be ok to enforce strict tag guidelines. But currently the apps are all over the place. Some even allow unlimited number of tags. That's crazy no post can cover everything.

I think there needs to be a large discussion about this.
I would hope that we could have a Tag rule established but it should cover everything not just some select few tags.

This is simply due to some tags being curated.
As for the #steemit tag argument, you aren't wrong, but people have been used to it being about things related to STINC, the community, etc.
In terms of the anti-abuse community, we should focus our attention more on curated tags.
