Sketches vs finished work
Heya! Today I wanna show you the picture I'm using as a header and also talk a bit about sketches!

This is the drawing I'm using as a header right now, it's made with Paint Tool SAI, as always, and it took me a really long time.
When people see my art, especially if they're not artists, I feel like they can only see the finished thing, and not the time and work behind it. I think a lot of people believe drawings come straight out of my pen the way we see them when they're done. But actually, they don't. Drawings go through quite a lot of different stages before they're finished (And at times they don't even get to the "finished" stage.)
Here's what the original sketch looked like, along with another one that I never got back to:

Sketching is a very important part of being an artist, and I need to work on it more. I think it's good to draw a bunch of sketches and leave them unfinished sometimes. Artists tend to be perfectionists, but spending too much time on a drawing trying to make it perfect often leads nowhere, so sketch away!
