I love scifi too but probably wouldn't draw too much of it because the amount of detail in consoles and cables can get infuriating XD (it is tonnes of fun and looks great when you're done but somewhere in the middle I'm always full of regret XD)
This person really knows what they're doing manipulating all that stuff without even looking :O
yayayaya, the detailing work was kinda tedious.... x __ x but i guess they were also kinda therapeutic? like, zen~ yayayaya the middle part is the worst.... cuz u r stuck and having to finish and still there's loads to do zzzzzzzz
she's probably knew the consoles like the back of her hand~ or maybe she's just like, ionno what im doing so might as well look cool~
