Rush to the Exit

in #dreams6 years ago

Last evening I noticed a problem with the Steem blockchain. I had no way to discover the cause. Bad dreams were the result. a1drjohnthumb.JPG

In pessimistic fashion, I imagined panic in the streets of the Steemit community. Mobs were rushing to the places to sell Steem. Power downs were happening everywhere. This was all a dream.

My dream gave me a chance to think about my personal reaction. What would I do if the problem were serious? I woke to check... the blockchain was still down. What should I do?

The answer was go back to sleep.

The blockchain I have learned to trust would be fine in time. My pessimism required faith and patience.

This morning my fears were confirmed. My favorite witness (Block Brothers) and my friend @exyle were aware of the issue and were cooperating with other witnesses to repair the problem.

From my perspective, little bumps in the road helps us understand what the crypto environment is like. It’s like flying in a small plane through a thunderstorm. For now the skies are clear again. Flying is fun.

Here is today’s beauty.
