THE NEW TOY

Last year I sold my INSPIRE drone with the x5 camera. I said to myself when they come out with a new MAVIC I'd get that. They did so I did... and just in time for @steemfest in Poland and my 8 day trip afterwards.

If you're asking i got the Mavic 2 Pro because it's mostly for photography if i were doing more video i probably would have gotten the zoom.

About 10 minutes ago I took the drone out and of course photographed the prettiest thing in sight... my airstream and some fall colors that's hitting the valley.

And a little cameo and me testing out the obstacle avoidance features that make getting shots a little closer to things a lot easier.

ANOTHER ADVENTURE COMING UP TODAY
It's about time for me to get ready to go up into the mountains where I'll play a whole lot more with the drone. I'm headed up that way to actually do one on one photography teaching. I told him let's leave an hour earlier so i can fly for an hour and that's on my dime. The rest i'll focus on teaching.

EDITING TEST

In any case the big test was not to see how it flew... i knew that would be awesome. The test was how nice editing the 20mp DNG raws would be. And the answer is they look fantastic and more importantly perhaps to me was to see how well it felt editing them and if it was fluid. Even better than the raw files from the X5 on my inspire was. 1" sensor for the win!!
I think I'll be able to get just about the same look out of these... maybe not quite the same colors as the D850... but close enough... and that's important to me.
