Singapore Joins In On The Drone Delivery

in #drones5 years ago

We have seen drones delivering mail and other packages in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, to some extent, and now they're going to be making deliveries in Singapore too.

The drones will reportedly be helping to:

  • deliver mail
  • inspect buildings
  • conduct security

There are already some companies in the region who have started testing the capabilities of drones and the potential for their commercial use.

The civil aviation authority in the region has allegedly backed the project and has suggested that it's going to help to drastically transform logistics and mobility in the region.

This could help to cut down on some of the traffic in the area; they see some of the worst traffic jams in the world. It's been previously estimated that Singapore motorists spend more time on the road than they do watching television or shopping; an average of 9 hours every week on the road and many (over 70 percent) worry about getting into an accident.

It might not take long for the drones to be adopted into other industries throughout Singapore as well.

We can see that many different areas have started to make use of drones, from real estate to construction, farming, and much more. The potential that they have so far demonstrated is seemingly limitless because of the many creative ways that they can be used to provide value.

Whether it's inspecting buildings, fires, crime scenes, or farmland, the drones are helping to save time and money.

If they are going to be able to operate mostly out of sight of the public, then they might stay out of mind. For those who have seen them flying around their own neighborhoods or around their backyards though, the reception hasn't always been a warm and welcoming one.

With the growing acceptance and prevalence of drone use in the region, Singapore might eventually establish itself as the drone hub of the world, further helping to solidify its position of being known as an innovative tech leader.

As the technology has advanced, it seems good to me that they are accepting the drones, it is more effective and that is how it decreases, but the traffic is a good option

this is a great news @doitvoluntarily hopefully in all parts of the world accept the drones so that everything flows more quickly, the technology is wonderful

I am thinking there will be a critical mass that will cause conflicts and annoying regulation.

I guess like ai, I am looking forward to how they can solve problems and counting on having them cause all new ones.
