Hello and welcome to my blog. This post promises to be an exciting post.

Phone addiction is the norm for most users nowadays. You see people getting glued to their mobile phones for hours and spending time on one social media application and another. If they are not on WhatsApp they are on Facebook or Instagram. It's all fun, especially for the youth. However, the reality is that those kinds of people are being sucked into the virtual world. They are losing touch with the real world. You see this kind of people not able to maintain a good relationship with people around them. They find the world boring and prefer to stay indoors for a good part of the day.

Well, it’s not their fault that WhatsApp, Instagram, and so on were developed. In order to stop this, numerous applications have been developed to curb this. Only a few achieved their aim. This is one of the reasons DROP was developed.

What is Drop?

Drop is an Android application that encourages users to explore. The application is looking to encourage users to spend less time on their phone. The time will be spent on exploring. Remember the once viral game Pokemon go where users have to go out and explore with the hope of catching one or two game characters. This is the same idea Drop is bringing to the table. You just explore new places with the hope of finding one or two dropped messages.

How does Drop work?

The way Drop work is very simple and straight-forward. User A will create a DROP which may include a story or an event or anything. The Drop will be posted in a location of choice.

User B, on the other hand, will explore areas and hope to see a drop message and will open the drop message to view its contents. You can see that Drop is a combination of content creation and exploration. You spend more time outdoors and learn about new locations, have fun, and also get some dropped messages.

Some of the interesting features Drop possess includes

Registration

This is the first step that any user must undertake before using the application. You need an account to use Drop. This will allow you to create drops or search for drops. Creating an account is easy as only your email, password, and username is required. A verification email will be sent to your inbox to verify authenticity then you’re good to go.

Drop creation

This feature allows users to easily create a drop right in the application. The simple and easy interface is what I love about it. You don’t need anyone to explain how to do anything, you just input your drop title message and location then drop. Congratulations you have created your first drop. It is not left for other users to explore and trying to find your drops. This will lead to the find.

Find

You can find drops here. There are two options there which are randomly find a drop and find a specific draw. At the moment, only find a specific drop is implemented. The feature will allow you to find drops near your location. The good thing I love about it is that you can select the radius range to search for drops.

It is the main feature of the application that kick starts the user exploration. It is hoped that the developer will implement the **randomly find a drop** soon so that users can explore blindly and hope to find one or two drops along the way.

Conclusion

You can see that Drop is a cool application that will surely improve exploration while spending less time on your phone. You can easily explore and have fun knowing that your time is worth it because you’re going to get one or two drops and view their message.

Thank you for the contribution.

The post is well structured, well described, and very informative. It is a good walk-through of the app uses, features, with a little of your thoughts. However, the post would have been better if you had shared your personal experiences with the app. Most of the information you shared could be found elsewhere. I advise you to make your future publications more unique by sharing more of your thoughts and personal experiences.

Also, the post could have a round of proofreading. Nonetheless, you did great, and I enjoyed reading your post.

Cheers!
