Hello Steve, Found your post in steemchat. I use steepshot it is a great app for uploading pictures.
When you select the pic you can move it slightly so check it is in the right position before locking your photo as it crops it square. Next add in title, details for photo and tags as you would on steemit. Remember when using steepshot that the feed only shows steepshot posts of whom your following and not their posts on other steemit apps or even steemit posts. So make sure to check your feed on steemit as it shows posts from all steemit apps as well posts done on steemit.
