Battle system: Implementing a unique skill for every unit

Ready? Something big is coming. With more excitement and more opportunities to show your strategic skills, our next implementation to the game will sure add some additional fun. After Bazooka guy and the Hobo, other units will get their unique skills too. The implementation will happen in a couple of days and there will not be a single unit that does not have something special about it. You will now be able to carefully plan and strategize your fights before starting them. There will be many combinations and possible outcomes, depending on which units are you sending and what units will be waiting for you on your enemy's side.

The simulator will be available soon. You can use it to get accustomed to new fights. Just like before, there will be an old simulator in place with a link to the new one. By using both of them, you can see how the fights will look like and experiment until you figure everything out and get accustomed to units with skills. We suggest you do that before launching a fight so there are no surprises. So many new options in fights will be possible and we are eager to see you showing us your tactical skills.

as outlined here by many there is still "huge upside" in the battle system and it would be great if the unique skills would be able to overcome the current deficits... or you better implement a system where a range unit really is able to use range.. and not a melee raid is the only thing working..

that would be great and if you allow me one more advice:
out of my experience it is absolutely necessary that those arbitrage opportunities are not present any more when you start your ICO.. as the future ICO is very small and also might be marketed more towards retail, it might not be such a big problem.. but if institutional investors or strategic investors have a look on it (preconidtion to they find out about this obyte thing at all) the weak price point will distract them and might cause you some problems...
same is true for any in game economy.. so best for drugwars would be if that arbitrage opportunity gets "bought away and consumed by players".. that's the reason why I am posting about it..

and what also would be a nice feature.. if you could send future tokens directly from one drugwars account to another.. without using obyte...

More unique skill it's a step in good way. Please consider also adding some randomness to the fight.

Now the fights are soooo boring because you just do the math using the simulator and there is only one 100% sure winning strategy - buy 1000 bouncer/rowdy (yes, the cheapest units) more than your enemy has total number of units.
It reminds me situations from the Civilization (PC game) when spearman (unit from ancient ages) could won with a tank (unit from XXI century). Sadly in drug wars it works in the same way when - 10 guys with a baseball bat (rowdy) wins easily with a skilled guy with a machine gun (mercenary)

I agree with you at 100%... battles now have absurd results!!!

Why can't there be one special kind of fighter more, that would bring some randomness to the game: Psycho. You could recruit it solely with drugs and when it goes to war the results with psychos would be random up to a certain point. It could carry back stuff as much as big mama, or nothing. It could kill 20 opponents units or only 1, because it's in psychosis. Same thing when defending resources.

So please, add one more unit: psycho to fight randomly and insanely.

In fact the hobo was conceived to be this unit, which randomly hit any allies or enemies. but for few reason we decided to make it different. But the idea is still in our mind ;)

hey drugwars team, great job but hey, you're really neglecting this simple Missions page,

There are so many things you can add here in Missions, from in game role playing to using @dlux-io for gta3 style actual 3d missions.,..

please add some sort of "Coming Soon" and ad plans to have GTA3 style missions, maybe linear in @dlux-io steem VR 3d gaming OR you could have some multiplayer races, I mean theres a LOt of extra belsl and whistles we coudl see on this game, maybe a separate POOl for Missions that can be anything from making posts on twitter and getting 100 retweets about drug wars, to ROle playing over steemit with social media battles in the comments, scavenger hunts in real major cities to promote drugwars would REALLy be cool

getting my local cannabis dispensary to start doing cross promotions with drugwars would also be really cool, lie fi you achieve a rare cannabis grow op in the game and get like $100 worth fo points maybe the dispensary can redeem a coupon for a cartridge or an 8th so you could get real legal cannabis voucher to redeem in game cannabis credits for a real cannabis products now THAT woudl eb a nice Gimmick! It wouldn't be for any serious large scale action, just a cool advertising gimick to mix Legal cannabis dispensary and Drugwars!

But the idea is still in our mind ;)

I'm anxiously waiting for that to happen here. Refreshing the DW page every 3 seconds. And my finger is starting to go numb... So perhaps you should do something soon, or I have no fingers left to play Drugwars. Soon they have all fallen off, and it's your fault.

Provide some shield to the smaller players against the giants. People investing huge and bullying the small is killing the game for the small ones.
Probably add a rule that can't attack the same target for next 3 days.

This. I was offline for a week, and one account has been hitting me while I was helpless. I'm not complaining, but it's just enabling predation on folks in the situation I was in to let them just farm accounts like that.

Gangs need to enable folks to pool their armies - that's what gangs actually are and do, for Chrissake! This would enable wee minnows to better remain able to play when big whales are looking for easy pickings. It would make the gang colors just as useful in game as they are in the real world. Maybe a guy feels he could take a random biker in a bar brawl. That same guy will not even try if the biker is wearing a patch - if he's smart.

How does this help me when i lost an army of over 50 mil in resources to one that took around 1 or 2 to build?

The unique passives will give them another stat to take in consideration , but can be hardly called tactical skill . Maybe if you can position your units then some unique passives will have different impact depending where you position them.

This is the announcement for the update we have been waiting for I think.

with this update, I'm sure that there will be variations which I'm sure many of the players will love. Hope this will be a great update and motivates everyone to use tactics and strategy to perform well in the game.

I also think ahead if these units have special abilities like specific units can kill another specific unit more effectively, like sniper can kill as much melee compare to other units or ninja can kill snipers more effectively.. just thinking.

Hi there @drugwars. Since yesterday I have been having some problems when I upgrade the buildings. I upgraded my weapon storage to lvl 11 and the pharmaceutical lab to lvl 3. It took my resources but it never upgraded neither buildings. Has anybody else had this issue? Could you help me with that? Thanks for everything.

Same here, I have attempted 3 upgrades and lost resources on every single failed one. Drug Wars needs to fix this asap!!!
