Mike is a former Pennsylvania state Bee inspector, owner of Bjornapiaries.com, and a non migratory commercial beekeeper specializing in queen rearing, and education. He was my first teacher in queen rearing, and I have used his excellent queens in the past to form my core stock. A founding member of the northeast queen rearers, Mike has an excellent breeding program, and much sought after stock. Rigid adherence to proper procedures and management shows in the quality of his breeding lines. Mike is often invited to governmental and various agencies to testify, and advocate on behalf of honeybees. His opinions and understandings of the various problems facing the honeybees are founded on his experience and extensive research.
