hey, SC paid me $7.smthg this month :) With direct monetization from Premium started for me ... the one I applied 2 .... no - 3 years ago LOL I don't mind getting that US buck crypto thing onto my PayPal. Immediately converted it to a new NI Maschine :D
.... and I bet it happened and SC finally started to move their butts only due to uprising of crypto sites .... so, we spin it all and THEY have to fight for "free content creators", as they call us now. They will be times they call us musicians too ;)
So that $7 is from streaming on Soundcloud? And how much per stream? I did sign up for that premium thing so don't know if I have an active membership on it or not... although I'm not paying premium, just pro.
It's really nice being called a "free content creator", makes you feel on top of the world, wanted, respected, a valuable member of the platform... don't you think? :P
Free to create content is cool, but when someone filling up the pockets on your behalf and you struggle to get an instrument - it is all shitty filling one great painter had not able to afford Blue paint, because it was too expansive at that time LOL So once they imposed ads on all tracks (including remixes on friends, you did not monetize, it started looking awkward)
Yes, having second full month of direct monetization. Before had RouteNote turned on. It feels SC direct pays "better" than thru RN (besides 15% RN charged as I did not pay nada).
I have around 800 ~ 1000 ~ 1200 plays a day (all result of old fame days on SC :) I guess SC refers you better to Related and such. I see plays from all over the world and platforms). I am not sure exact per-play, as may be half tracks are monetized, so hard to math.
I think you have to have Unlimited Pro, that's what they said when announced years back. I have it now and was not able to find if just Pro is enough, need to ask, as don't really need unlimited ... not making much music - all focused on crypto too. like them LMAO
