We don't spend a lot of time recording. I mean, comparatively to how much time we spend mixing, listening, doing some corrections.

I will speak for myself in this process of finally releasing some new music. Sometimes we start with an idea on mind, or a melody, a rythm, but sometimes we start from scratch. Without even knowing where all this will take us. I think it is necessary to know how to recognize quickly enough if the idea is worth developing. We may also be dissatisfied with an idea that deserves to be developed. In this case, store the idea in a corner for a few weeks, or a few months. You will come back at it with a new look and a new ear. Music take you, and not the reverse. I mean Inspiration come and takes you. Not you taking inspiration. This remains a fascinating process, of course.
