Description
Greek General Ptolemy (A. Hopkins) decides to tell his students about the story of life and the work of famous Alexander the Great. Legendary Macedonian king, leader and conqueror is the brave king of Philip II (V. Kilmer) and the beautiful epic princess of the Olympics (A. Jolie). Despite their mutual intolerance, parents gave the boy the best education under the patron of the famous Athenian philosopher Aristotele (C. Plummer), who created a passion for music and poetry in Alexandria, and developed feelings of courage and honor. With age, young Alexander (C. Farrell) of an intimate friend and ally acquires in sensible Hefaestion (J. Leto), and after his father's death as a 20-year-old, he takes power over a nearly-abandoned country. Decisively launching the army and extinguishing several riots, Alexander Makedonski eventually became an advocate of the fraternity of different peoples and the union of cultures of the East and the West. Married with the enthusiastic Roxan (R. Dawson), soon with an army of 30,000 infantry and 5,000 horsemen marching against a ten-fold larger Persian Empire, and battling Gaugamel with the powerful Persian ruler Darius III. (R. Degan). His conquering invasion of Alexander will end after eight years, after the conquest of Asia Minor and the conquest of Egypt in far-off India, on the territory of today's Pakistan, clashing with King Porus (B. Bunluerit) ....
