What's up DTube! My name is Gavin Nascimento and I'm from South Africa, but also lived in the United States for about 14 years of my life. I actually went to high school there before getting kicked out... it's a long story, maybe I'll get into all that crazy bullshit some other time.
I've lived a pretty wild life and taken a very unique path overall, but for the sake of relevance, I started using social media about 10 years ago as a means of empowering people to overcome their personal struggles with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, brainwashing, bad habits, and basically the shit that prevents us from becoming the best version of ourselves.
I myself struggled with anxiety, depression, alcoholism, bad health, suicidal thoughts and many other things growing up, but discovered a way to overcome these obstacles, so I wanted to help empower other people to do the same. Since that time, however, I've become aware that we need to change society at large. In fact, through what could justifiably be called obsessive research, I've discovered that this system is like a cancer that is literally making everyone sick with stress, depression, anxiety, etc., and unless we address this root issue intelligently, nothing will ever truly change.
My concern overall is with solutions and answers. I don't like that doom and gloom bullshit without any sensible solution to the problem. I think people who do that, while generally meaning good, are spreading fear to people that are already drowning in mental worries. Thus, the purpose of this channel is to empower my followers with unadulterated Knowledge and verifiable Truth, I feel there are no greater powers to create positive change than these, and I want to awaken the warrior in you!
As a result, I will always list sources and citations in the description box of my videos for you to fact check. My video editing skills are clearly very average, if that, but my standard for research, and my ability to communicate my thoughts — at the risk of sounding arrogant — are exceptional.
