Today I want to talk a little about the theoretical foundations of psychonetics – a discipline that I learned a few years ago.
Psychonetics develops our abilities connected with the world of will. I'm not sure this word translates correctly into English. Close in meaning to this word – intention that is why I will use this word.

There are three ways to view the World and yourself:
the World (and man) as a machine;
the World (and man) as an organism;
the World (and man) as an intention.
People, movements, ideologies differ by this criterion.
What type of thinking and perception of the world and oneself a person belongs to, can be understood by his reasoning, actions and creativity.

The modern technological world operates only with the reality of the machine.
The world as a machine: assembly, disassembly of parts. The world around us, man, animals – everything is considered as composed of elements.
The way of perceiving everything as a mechanism doesn’t need an animate life. It is able to disassemble the screws even the human psyche.

An example is early behaviorism, considering man as a machine. The person receives the stimulus from the outside world and gives back the response. According to the logic of mechanistic thinking, this reaction is predictable, so manipulation of human behavior is possible. Predictable people.

The God of this world is an abstract law. There is no place for uniqueness.

But there is another image of the world – the world as an organism.
The mechanism obeys the laws, the living organism has a destiny. The machine has a service life, but it is possible to change the details – and it will continue its work.
But the body is subject to cycles: birth, growth, development, decline and death. The body is whole.
From this point of view, the universe is an organism.

Organism’s technologies have not yet appeared. Life of plants, animals, languages, people is organic. Technology of the organism – it's growing technology. They will become real when background characteristics and integrity properties are taken into account, not detail.

The mechanism can only be created by the organism. Exactly in the same relation to the world of the organism is the world of the intention: only the intention can create the organism.

World of the intention is the third view of reality. For intention there is no nor laws, nor cycles and fate. The highest value of the world of intention is awareness and freedom.
The world is not made of parts, the world is not made of seed. The world is the unfolding of the intention
In the world of the intention constantly there are creative processes, processes of creation.

From the point of view of the world of the organism, the world of the intention is something magical, because it is often not understandable for the organism.

The world of intention arises when pure meanings and free activity, spontaneous and purposeful at the same time, are connected to the world of the mechanism and the world of the organism.

The world of intention includes the worlds of mechanism and organism, and therefore it is able to generate these worlds.
We, as people, are able to understand the world of the mechanism and the world of the organism.
We are able to act at this level. We are also able to come to an understanding of the world of intention.
But to do this, you need to develop certain cognitive abilities that people have a little. So far, there has been little need for these abilities.
But humanity is moving forward, and perhaps in the future we are waiting for big changes…
