5 languages of love💕#66video

Which of the 5 languages of love is yours?
According to Gary Chapman's book "The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts", who has watched couples for more than 20 years, there are 5 languages in which we express our love and in which we prefer to receive it.

These 5 languages:

  • Words of Affirmation,
  • Quality Time,
  • Receiving Gifts,
  • Acts of Service,
  • Physical Touch.

If you speak one language, and your beloved has another language of love, it seems to him or her that you don’t love. And you think he or she doesn't accept your love. It is ideal when the languages of love coincide. But if that's not the case, then it's worth figuring out what your priority languages of love are, and expressing feelings mostly in that form.

There is a main language of love and additional.
But the most important thing is that if you don’t receive love and care in the form that is a priority for you, you may feel that you are alone and no one understands you.

Let's briefly understand how the languages of love look.

  1. Words of Affirmation.
A person loves with its ears and it is important for it to be praised, supported in words. Say kind words to a person, encourage it as often as possible, thank it. But it is necessary to criticize with great caution and it is better to abandon criticism, because such a person will remember it for a long time.

  2. Quality Time.
It is important to be close to the person, and not just sit together in the same room, but give it all your attention entirely. Don’t be distracted by gadgets, don’t think about something while communicating with such a person. Spend more time together!

  3. Receiving Gifts.
They are important surprises and the fact that you have invested in them your care and attention. They don’t have to be expensive, you can do something with your own hands, but surprises should be.

  4. Acts of Service.
It is important for a person that you help it – at home, at work or study, in creativity. He or she appreciates this character’s trait above all.

  5. Physical Touch.
A person needs physical contact (touching, hugging, kissing, holding hands, etc.). If you are somewhere together and never come into contact, such a person will perceive this as a lack of attention and a personal insult. Be gentle and touch each other more often!

My main language of love is Physical Touch.
To determine this, you need to assess, without what in a relationship your feelings dry up. There are even all sorts of tests that help to determine the priority and additional languages of love. They can be easily found on the Internet.
So what is your language of love?

Thank you, @dmilliz! Good book. Simple, easy to read, interesting.

thanks for your sharing, praise!

Thank you!

We had a course on this last time at church, and it is indeed an interesting discovery. And we did it on kids too. Mine is combination of words of affirmation and physical touch. But sometimes it can be the other 3. Haha.

I guess most will be combination of a few. Anyway, the top in list will be quality time. :)

Cool! I didn't know they studied that in church!
I think it is very practically useful to know about the languages of love and to support people around as they need it.

You deserved it @behelen :)
